An agreement on sale of 40 milion Kyoto carbon emission has been recently signed between Japan and the Czech Republic. Mr.Yasuhiro Shimizu, managing director of NEDO - New Energy and Industrial Technology Organisation - has signed the agreement on behalf of Japanese side.

Czech Republic has gained funds in extent approx. 10 billion CZK by this operation, and according general AAU trading conditions, these funds must be used exclusively for "green projects", as for example currently announced extensive Czech Governement´s programme "Green light to savings".

Cooperation with Japan is however yet starting. Japanese govenment intends to offer to the Czech Republic access to the most advanced technologies from the rank of energy savings, low energy building, renewable energy and sustainable carbon reduction.

Japan - Czech Environmental Symposium is being jointly organised by governments of Japan and the Czech Republic on the highest level: Both prime ministers will be present, as well as delegation of top Japanese representatns of power and environment industry, the most advanced products and solutions will be introduced.

Admission is free, however prior registration is necessary. Number of seats is limited.
