the Czech National Infrastructure Conference 2014 II

Autumn part of the 1st annual national infrastructure conference in the Czech Republic on the topic:
„Changes for the Better –Inspiration in a Well-tried, Good International Practice“

Wednesday 10th December 2014, Czech National Bank, Prague

•  Why does our hesitancy and sluggishness ever hold us down at the bottom?
•  Poland and Slovakia infrastructure – what should be avoided, where to take a lesson from?
•  Avoiding the “Czech trial-any-error ways“ – let’s make use of a well-tried, good international practice
•  ARI will present the Road Map of Changes: Public Procurement – Balanced Contractual Terms – Dispute Avoidance and Resolution

ARI comes with a discussion on ever-expected changes in transport infrastructure sector, on the state’s ability to formulate conceptual and system changes in a rational way. Why does the private sector recommend the use of a well-tried international practice instead of searching endlessly for a “Czech path”? How do professional authorities and experts in public procurement, engineering and construction assess the changes in 2014? ARI will introduce a newly formulated Road Map of Changes 2015, which is to facilitate a discussion on setting the new public procurement framework and an efficient development of public infrastructure.

Through this conference, ARI follows upon the tradition of political and specialized elites, representatives of the public-investor organizations, and private contractors – ARI members and its partners – discussing openly the challenges in the public infrastructure sector and how to cope with them by. The participants will express their attitudes and evaluate the development and state activities as to whether they have fulfilled their visions and expectations over the last six months.

ARI is a multi-professional, non-profit organization, unifying the views held by major infrastructure contractors, pushing through the clear rules for planning, public procurement, and terms of transparent contract administration in line with a well-tried international practice, which will allow for the Czech public infrastructure long-term, sustainable development and for qualitative growth of private sector by augmenting its know-how and corporate social responsibility.
